Most Americans Have Credit Card Debt, That’s a Problem

New research says that six out of ten American adults has credit card debt. This is outstanding debt on one or more credit cards that doesn’t get paid off fully each month. The average amount that a person carries is over $6,500. If you have this kind of debt, you could be losing money each month as you pay interest only. It can also harm your credit score. But you don’t have to live with it. Tax loans, payday loans, consolidation, and other solutions can help you eliminate problematic credit card debt.

Credit Card Debt is an American Problem

With more than half of all adults holding onto credit card debt month after month, this is a major financial issue. Just having debt at all can be stressful, but this kind is particularly damaging. When you have debt on your cards and you only pay the minimum amount each month, you pay only interest to the credit card companies. And at that rate of repayment you will continue paying them forever for the privilege of having that debt.

Another issue, besides losing money every month, is that you can harm your credit score by having a certain ration of debt to line of credit. Carrying debt from one month to the next will ultimately lower your credit score, which in turn can make other loans more costly and even prevent you from getting approved for other loans.

How Can Tax Loans and Other Loans Help?

There are a couple ways in which alternative loans, like tax loans or payday loans, can help you with a credit card debt problem. The first is that you can use them instead of credit cards. When you have an expense and no cash, it’s tempting to just put it on a card. It’s easy and fast, but it leads to more debt that you end up ignoring. A smaller loan, like tax loans, provide you with a better source of cash for those expenses, one that you can get in about 24 hours and will repay within a couple weeks.

If, like most adults, you have the credit card debt already, you can use these other types of loans to consolidate the debt and get it repaid more quickly. Pay off an entire card or a big chunk with tax loans or payday loans, and you consolidate your debt into one, easier payment. You’ll be less likely to forget to make payments on multiple cards and will get rid of your debt sooner.
